This is old news but i only jus found out and it pisses me off. Boris cancelled rise festival, cos he thinks it´s not appropriate to spend so much money on it without a major sponsor. Except the major sponsor only dropped out after Boris removed the festivals anti-racism message last year. Instead, he´s decided to create ´Rhythm of London´: "two days of music events and activities being developed as part of his drive to increase musical opportunities and education for all young Londoners." http://www.london.gov.uk/view_press_release.jsp?releaseid=21662
